How to shampoo properly for thinning hair
Washing seems simple, but a few small habits make it gentler for thin hair and the scalp.

Wet thoroughly with lukewarm water
Lukewarm water loosens oil without drying the scalp like very hot water. Wet your hair fully before applying shampoo.
Shampoo the scalp, not the ends
Apply shampoo to the scalp and massage gently with your fingertips. The lather that runs through when rinsing is enough to clean the lengths.
Rinse longer than you think
Leftover shampoo can cause itching. Rinse until there is no slippery feel left. Read scalp cleansing.
Conditioner on the ends
Apply conditioner from ear level down, then rinse. See conditioner and thin hair and daily hair care.

Should I shampoo twice?
If you use lots of styling product or your scalp is very oily, a light second wash can help. Otherwise once is enough.
When can I shampoo after treatment?
Wait until the next day unless the team tells you otherwise, and use lukewarm water. See aftercare.
