Suitability
Is it right for me?
For adult men and women with gradual thinning. The scalp check at your free consultation gives the real answer.
Hair-loss types
Six patterns we often see.
Oily scalp
Excess oil in a hot, humid climate can make hair look flat and sparse.
After dyeing or perming
Repeated chemical treatments can weaken the hair shaft and lead to breakage.
Family history
Gradual thinning at the crown or hairline that runs in the family.
After childbirth
Many mothers notice shedding a few months after giving birth. Tell us if you are still breastfeeding.
Receding hairline
A higher-looking forehead or more open temples.
Stress
A period of stress, illness or big change can be followed by more noticeable shedding.
- An open wound, active infection, sunburn or severe irritation on the scalp: let it settle first
- Sudden, patchy or rapid hair loss, or hair loss with other symptoms: see a doctor first
- Pregnant, breastfeeding, or under medical treatment for a skin condition: tell your consultant so the plan can be adjusted
A non-surgical cosmetic treatment; not diagnosis or treatment of disease.
Is it suitable for women?
Yes. The treatment is for men and women. Many of our clients are women who wear a tudung, and we plan each visit with privacy in mind. Tell us if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Who is it not suitable for?
Anyone with an open wound, infection, sunburn or severe irritation on the scalp should wait for it to settle. Sudden, patchy hair loss, or hair loss with other symptoms, should be checked by a doctor first.
Which types of hair loss is it for?
Gradual thinning, a receding hairline, a see-through crown, and hair loss linked to an oily scalp, dyeing or perming, childbirth, family history or stress. The scalp check decides whether it suits you.
I have genetic hair loss. Can this help?
Simulation can make thinning areas look fuller in 3 to 4 hours. It does not change genetics. Your consultant explains what is realistic for your pattern of thinning.
Does this replace seeing a doctor?
No. This is cosmetic treatment and scalp care, not diagnosis or treatment of disease. For sudden or patchy hair loss, see a doctor or dermatologist first.
Can I combine it with minoxidil or other treatments?
Tell your consultant about every product and medicine you use. For anything a doctor prescribed, keep following your doctor's advice and talk to them before changing it.
