Do caps cause baldness?
A question we often hear from men. The short answer: a clean, comfortable cap is not the main cause. Here are the details.

Where the myth comes from
Many thinning men wear caps to cover the area, so caps get linked with baldness. That is an association, not a cause.
What matters more
A cap that is too tight can rub and pull hair, and a dirty, damp cap can affect scalp comfort. Choose the right size and wash it often.
Sun protection
A cap actually helps protect a thinning scalp from the strong Malaysian sun. Read sun and the scalp.
If you wear a cap to cover up
If you want to stop relying on a cap, discuss options with a consultant. See ways to hide thin hair and Simulation.
