Choosing a more scalp-friendly underscarf
An underscarf is worn for hours every day. Its fabric, fit and cleanliness can affect scalp comfort and the hairline.

Breathable fabric
Cotton or breathable blends are usually more comfortable in hot, humid weather than fabrics that trap heat and sweat.
A fit that does not press
An underscarf that is too tight at the forehead or temples can pull and rub the hairline all day. If it leaves red marks, it may be too tight.
Cleanliness and rotation
Keep several and change daily, especially after sweating. Wash and dry fully before wearing again.
Dry hair first
Do not put a tudung over hair that is still wet. Dry the scalp with a dryer on a medium setting. Read scalp odour for more tips.

Does an underscarf cause hair loss?
A clean, comfortable underscarf is not shown to cause baldness. Constant pulling and dampness deserve more attention.
Is there privacy for tudung wearers at Anggun?
Yes. Many of our clients are women who wear a tudung and we plan every visit with privacy in mind.
