Daily hair care for new mothers
Little time, broken sleep and shedding hair. This simple routine helps new mothers look after hair and scalp without extra burden.

A simple routine is enough
A gentle shampoo, conditioner on the ends and a wide-tooth comb. You do not need many products; consistency matters more.
During confinement
Confinement practices differ between families. If you wash your hair, use lukewarm water and dry the scalp fully so it does not stay damp under a tudung or towel.
Gentle ties
Babies love pulling hair, so many mothers tie it up all day. Use a soft scrunchie and change the position, as in tight hairstyles.
When to get help
If shedding goes on long after the birth or comes with extreme tiredness, see a doctor. For a fuller look, see suitability and tell us if you are still breastfeeding.

Should I cut my hair short?
It is a personal choice. Short hair is easier to manage and can look fuller, but it does not change shedding.
Can I colour my hair after giving birth?
Ask your doctor, especially if breastfeeding, and do a patch test first.
