Signs of a sensitive scalp

Stinging, heat or itching soon after shampoo, colour or styling products, especially strongly scented ones, are common signs.

Do a patch test

Try new products on a small area first and wait as the label advises. This matters most before colouring or rebonding.

Use fewer products

More products mean more ingredients that can irritate. A simple routine makes it easier to find the cause.

Tell your consultant

At the consultation, tell us about allergies and past irritation. Treatment is not suitable with an open wound, infection, sunburn or severe irritation. Read comfort during treatment.

All questions
Is treatment suitable for a sensitive scalp?

It depends on your scalp's condition on the day. The scalp check and discussion at the consultation decide suitability.

Are 'natural' products safer?

Not necessarily. Natural ingredients can cause allergies too. A patch test is still important.
